When we were in Switzerland some years ago we visited the Schynige Platte Alpine Garden.  We looked closely at all the plants and flowers.
When we were back at our hotel, someone said "Did you see the famous blue flowers?".
We didn't know there were famous blue flowers but I'm sure we saw them.

We have some green flowers in our garden and visitors usually say something like "Are they supposed to be like that" or "How unusual".
A few weeks ago I made this poster to remind our garden visitors to visit our famous green flowers.  I don't usually add words to my art so this fortuitously fits nicely with Neet's interesting challenge theme "Type" at "Art Journal Journey".

And here are our famous green flowers, green primulas, which just keep on flowering.

I love to see different fonts so I'm looking forward to maybe seeing some new ones on "Art Journal Journey" this month.

Oh my goodness, what unusual primulas you have in your garden. I love the crinkled edges to the petals but it is the colour that is astounding. Hows fascinating are they?
Thank you for honoring them with this poster and adding words to fit in with the theme at AJJ. Love how you depicted them against that dark background - and that little critter making his way to them is so cute.
Thank you from me too for joining in with my theme at AJJ.
Hugs, Neet xx

I was thrilled when I saw you had joined us today at Art Journal Journey. It truly was fortuitous that you actually used different fonts and words on your poster. I really enjoyed the back story, too.

I've never heard of primulas before, much less green ones. These are stunning and so very unusual. I can see why you would want to show the off. Thanks so very much for sharing these with us at Art Journal Journey using Neet's theme. Hope to see more of your work this month, too, dear.

This poster is perfect for drawing attention to your famous green flowers. What is better than art in the garden! I can see this abstract design and the vivid colors adding awesome interest to your garden touring. I really like those frilly green primulas. I’m in the club of never having seen them before. You have a wonderful showing of them. I’m quite curious about the famous blue flowers in the Switzerland Alpine Garden. I googled that to satisfy my curiosity. I saw several blue flower possibilities but nothing specifically labeled ‘famous blue flowers’.

Oh I like your sign Sheila. It makes a lot of sense after reading about visiting famous blue flowers and your own famous green flowers. Those flowers on your sign are standouts. And nice text too. How fabulous to have green flowers. I love the idea of green flowers, although I have never seen any myself. And yours are beautiful. Thanks for joining us at AJJ for Neet's challenge. And happy August too. Hugs-Erika

Welcome to the four legged caterpillar heading for the green flowers! I hope she doesn't eat them all. Maybe she is colour blind and expects them to be red. Magnificent! Love it, Awesome!!

Wow, those green primulas are amazing and I'm loving your page! I think the little creature visiting the green flowers is in awe too ... lol 😁. It's nice to see that you have little creatures in your craft room too 😉. I was thinking of you yesterday as I was cutting some sweet peas from my garden, have you brown some this year? I cut about 3 or 4 vases full. I hope that you're having a lovely week and wishing you a Happy August! Hugs, Jo x

Hello Sheila,
Your poster's master (suppose it's a caterpillar) is just a right type of person to welcome visitors to your beautiful green garden. Lovely photo from there, thanks for sharing.
Have a wonderful August weekend xx
