GOING IN ALL DIRECTIONS

Hello everybody.

Over the past few months I've been going in all directions, often all at the same time, so Chris's "Art Journal Journey" theme this month "We're all going..." is very appropriate with

holidays -

the garden, always the garden, and especially the vegetable plot together with flowers for the bees,

and a rare collector's item - a photo of me in my gardening clothes, gardening face and hair, and my knitting, following the suggestion by my sister that I could sit in my garden occasionally (eh? what? sit???).

I've been experimenting with some new watercolours in the paintbox and made some larger pieces which turned into rather nice cropped pieces too (for card and wrapping paper designs).

"Small Tower"

"Small tower" cropped and photo-edited

And a photo-edited version of the whole piece -

Going round the bend in all directions

I've missed blogging and visiting and I hope to see you soon.

It looks like you are definitely going to enjoy Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey this month. Your going in all directions means there will be lots for you to explore. Your holiday photo was wonderful, and I am SO envious of your incredible garden, which includes a great place to sit and knit.

Of course, your watercolor paintings are fabulous. I loved how you photo-edited the tower you created. I also loved how you named the final piece. It fits Chris's theme perfectly this month. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey.

Hello Sheila and welcome back!
Your holiday time at the beach would have been wonderful - I love that photo.
What a splendid garden, it's as pretty as a picture and, of course, to see you out there sitting amongst it all is so lovely. It's nice to see each other as we are isn't it so thank you.
I love your header and also the new watercolour pieces. The designs are sweet and, yes, would make ideal gift wrap - or framed - your art is all encompassing and lovable. "Going Round the Bend in all Directions" makes me think of a tropical jungle.
Cheers and here's to happy blogging amongst us all xx

Your new post is a great way to start off the second half of this year. I love the dark, bright and glowing art of your new header.
The photo on the beach is an amazing scene and you’ve captured it so well. I always want to walk right into your photos.
I love that I can take another stroll through your beautiful garden! I love all the green with pops and bits of with the flowers.
If I take up knitting again, can I come sit in your garden and knit with you?! It would be worth it. But I’d be hard pressed to concentrate of knitting being in the midst of all that beauty. What color would my chair be? You look wonderful there with your knitting.
I’ve missed your art. I love the colorful original. Great cards and wrapping with that piece.
Going round the bend in all directions is a really fun and fascinating edited piece. If i knew how to photo edit, i feel I’d get lost in the process for hours. The must be an infinite amount of processing possibilities.

How nice to meet you here on this photo, once in person! You have a nice place to knit in the garden between your vegetables and the flowers!
I also like the view from the sea - I wish I could be there!
Your new watercolours shine wonderfully, and I see in this picture that you had fun trying them!
Best regards - Ulrike

Oh that garden is amazing. We have been away for a little over a week and I am worried how weedy mine will be when I get home this evening. I am sure it will make me cringe and get out there first thing tomorrow to clean it up a bit. And I really
Love your photo. Looks perfect to me. Comfy gardening clothes and knitting. 😀. Glad all has been well and your art is always so inspiring. Happy July. Hugs Erika

The title of your finished piece made me chuckle! Those colours and shapes are full of energy and really 'pop' off the page ... Nice to see you in person. I gather from your comments that you tend to be and a-doing, rather than immobile - and your lovely lush garden shows it. Hoping you enjoy both relaxing and creating :).

Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your holidays! The beach looked wonderful and the weather has been lovely of late too 😁. Your garden looks amazing, so full and lush with plants, it's nice to sit and look at the view ... well if you are like me after I've finished all the work as I can't sit and look when things need to be done ...lol 😉. Lovely photo of you too! I'm loving your colourful artworks, the watercolour paints look beautiful and I like the way that you change the colour palette in your photo editing programme, it makes you look at the details differently. I think the flower is guarding the tower, maybe Rapunzel is inside ...lol 😉. Wishing you a Happy Friday and Weekend! Hugs, Jo x

Sheila, I absolutely love the photos of your garden, but especially like the one of YOU sitting and knitting there! It's fabulous. And of course, I love your works of art, too! They are so creative and beautiful!

A magical photo of walking on the beach!
Great vegetable - I like the mixture of vegetables and flowers!
What a surprise: Beautiful Sheila SITTING in her garden (knitting is no surprise). I guess you only made this position for the photo - and then again ran quickly working into the vegetable :))
Small tower - I saw it on a second look, this lilac tower even with windows! It's so interesting that your photo editing made a green tower of it!
The last one is really spectacular, and I like the title too!
love, Rike
