The friendly Squareheads are in town.
The mouse made a painting using the basic old version of Windows Paint.  The mouse loves to add the odd squiggly line.

Have you any idea what is happening here?

Maybe they are on a long country walk and are looking for a place to stay overnight?
Or has Mother Squarehead brought her little Squarehead to school?

I'd like to know.

The mouse and I are linking to "Moo-Mania" where the theme is "Squares" and to "Art Journal Journey" where Alison is asking us to make art on the theme "Geometric Shapes".

* * * * * * *

I'm always on a mission to make more cards so made some more designs.
Here is one -  "The Blue Flower".

The original flower was part of a large artwork

and here is the card design.

Of course Douglas wanted to display the blue flower card.

What would we do without Douglas?

As long as they are friendly the Squareheads are allowed to be in town.
I have no clue what happens here but I like what you and the mouse have created so beautifully for Moo Mania & More and Art Journal Journey. Big thanks to the both of you for joining the challenges!♥♥♥
And I can understand why Douglas wanted to display this beautiful card!
Happy weekend dear Sheila!

Well haven’t you heard? The squareheads are in town for the flying square flowers event. I can’t believe you that you’ve forgotten this important event. It happens every 7th year, rain or shine. The wingless walking birds are the event hosts this year. If you are lucky enough to catch one of the skilled flying squares flowers, you can take it to Sheila’s art studio where she will transform the square flower into a blooming beautiful card and her art assistant, Douglas, has the great honor of presenting you with your prized card. It’s a terrifically festive event with the town all decked out welcoming the squareheads and the flying square flowers to town.

Your art inspires the imagination to let loose, run free and believe in the unbelievable. What could be better.

Well I thought that maybe a friendly alien family had come to town and were wanting to meet the folk. I think they may have had a surprise when the the turquoise Mayor came out to greet them, they were sure they had landed on Earth.
Anyway, its a fabulous and fun page Sheia.
The cards you created look beautiful as well.

I have been watching too many sci fi films (thanks to the hubby) and I think the squareheads are aliens ready to attack the town. However, they aren't very big aliens and the town is filled with big birds, maybe ravens or crows who come out to tell the aliens they might as well go home. The ending of that story is still not known. So whether the aliens can successfully overtake the home is unknown. Love the card by the way also. Hope its a good weekend Sheila. hugs-Erika

I am not able to take my eyes away from the three things hanging down from the top of three mountains - pink, orange and lilac - what are they? Some paper dragons fixed on the top of the mountains ... looking down to these two caterpillars (yes, squared caterpillars!), who stopped when seeing the Squarehead, because Squarehead is an enemy of the caterpillars! If I look exactly - Squarehead has already a look on the caterpillars! Yes, Squareheads are friendly but they also need something to eat ... sorry!
Your design of the orange flower fading into a blue flower is gorgeous! Oh Douglas, you can show the pens in the color of the flower, but I know you have not painted with them - this blue card is coming from the mouse and photoshop, isn't it?
Wish you and Douglas a happy weekend!
Love, Rike

I love your Square Heads! I believe they are coming home after the school day and Mom has baked buns and the hot chocolate waits for them!

(I think Douglas outshines all flowers in the world!!)

Well, I think the 'Squareheads' are camping because they have tents with them (on backs). Now they are surprised how they can camp in a town?!? Hope they are allowed to stay in a park ;)
I love your flower cards, Sheila.
I had great time and I enjoy your fun friend's adventure :)

Douglas steals the show again! I doubt anything would get done without him. His blue card is terrific. Maybe the square heads are entering into negotiations for squares independence from circles, as long as there are no tangents about. Your inventive drawings are superb, love it, Awesome!!

Wow, so much to see today to capture my imagination - I love it! I think you are right Mrs. Squarehead is taking her little one to school and the teacher is greeting them as they arrive 😁. They are walking past the beautiful zig zag of snow capped mountains with the rainbow coloured cable cars that they have just travelled on to get to school! I love your blue flower card, it was a great colour choice as blue happens to be my favourite colour πŸ˜‰. Douglas approves too, now I'm wondering what is Douglas's favourite colour? I hope you had a lovely weekend and wishing you a happy new week! J 😊 x

I have no idea as to what is going on, but i love that the bird appears larger than the house. Playing with reality, or showing there could be other realities.

Your art has made me smile this morning, thank you.

The flower cards are my weakness, really beautiful in their simplicity - they came up a treat and Douglas has such good taste.

I had intended to stop by earlier, but life got in the way (obviously). Your adorable squareheads are impressive. I had to laugh because these are SO creative. So glad you shared them with us at Art Journal Journey.

I'm truly impressed with your card, too. Douglas looks good showing off the blue card. It's really impressive.
