Hello everyone!  I've been having a wonderful time in Real Life with the best of visitors and the best of visiting.
Now I'm back in Blogland and looking forward to being here.

I've made a collage for "Art Journal Journey"  where Alison has chosen the very interesting theme "Geometric shapes".
It's made from magazine images, painted newspaper and my own paintings.

Elizabeth and Bleubeard offers us the opportunity on the 2nd of every month to repost an old blogpost.
I hope Bleubeard especially enjoys this one which was made for a challenge in July 2014 where the theme was "Spectacles".

I've copied the old blogpost below without any change.
Some of you may remember it, if so I hope you enjoy seeing it again, and if you haven't seen it I hope you enjoy it for the first time.

The challenge theme at "Soartful" for the month of August is "Eyeglasses/Spectacles".
My second thought on the theme (after the first one which was "?????") was that a short-sighted cat might need spectacles.

Have you any idea how sinister a cat looks with spectacles?

I drew endless cats with spectacles.
These are the one that are safer for you to see.

Who said you had to be able to draw to be an art blogger?
I quite like the third one but I think he's a rabbit pretending to be a cat, I might use him later.

Here's the first Pink Cat who came along.

You may have noticed that Pink Cat does not have any whiskers - yet - a slight oversight, which luckily I noticed at the last minute.

Whose picture is she keeping in her locket?
And who doesn't qualify for spectacles? - SCOWL!

I made a half arch

and some straight lines, which you will be able to imagine,
then put everything (including Pink Cat's whiskers) together in Photoshop.
The curly font is "Pea Sheila".

Bring along your pink cat!
This amazing offer is valid for the month of August 2014!

Apologies to all pink cats reading this but the offer has now expired.

Happy 2019, have a great year, and hope to see you many times in 2019.

I adore your collage. It is fabulous and I love the abstract nature it evokes. Those stars really shine! Thanks for sharing this with us as your first entry this month at Art Journal Journey.

I obviously didn't know you back in 2014, so this a first look for me. I grinned so big when I saw these bunnies with their eye glasses. They are adorable. Yes, I think the third bunny may be a rabbit in disguise, but with an absolutely adorable face like that, who doesn't love it? Of course the pink cat was the icing on the cake. Such a beauty. Thanks for sharing this as your second look with us this month on the 2nd.

I hope you have a joyous, productive, art filled 2019, too, dear Sheila.

But even more I want to say it's nice to see you in blogland and glad you had a great december in the real world. Hope you have a wonderful 2019 in the real world full of happiness, peace and other good things. Happy new year Sheila. hugs-Erika

The geometric piece is from the future with the little blue house hanging on to a bit of the past when it was fashionable to dream under the stars. The future looks quite a busy place. I hope to live in little blue house where life looks simple and quiet and peaceable. This is a fun art piece to look at and go off imagining all that is going on in it.

I remember the lucky pink cats post! Orange cats and all other color cats were so jealous. Some even tried fur die to turn themselves pink...were you aware of that?

I’m looking forward to the new year of creativity! Especially your creativity.

I came back to make sure I had wished you a happy new year (I forgot to do so on a couple of blogs) and was SHOCKED at what I wrote. I don't believe I wrote "bunny" when I meant kitty or cat. I'm a dufus and blame it on the fact I had been up all night!

Your little blue house under the stars is fabulous! It must be a magical place as the light around the little house and stars pops from the page and the setting looks very futuristic with the skyline and images that you used, a lovely way to depict the New Year 😁. So glad that you had a wonderful time over the holidays with your visitors and visiting, wishing you a very happy New Year filled with peace, love and happiness! J 😊 x

A wonderful page with the shapes theme-just love the house.

What fun cat art as well. My daughter once took a photograph of one of her cats wearing glasses and, you are right it does look very strange.

Happy 2019 with health and peace

Have a great 2nd on the 2nd

Love Chrissie xx

Hello Sheila - Happy New Year - pleased to hear you've been having a wonderful time.
Love your collage very much - I could imagine loosing myself in that seeing what else was lurking amongst the shapes and patterns and if I happened to be in a dentist chair and that was on the ceiling it would be very relaxing and take ones mind off things! :)
Love love the cats in your second showing of them - that did make me smile. A great start to the new year!

Happy New Year, dear Sheila!
Your collage is just wonderful - it seems to me you have a new style! These original stars are the eyecatcher of the picture and I love this house with the lilac roof!
Oh, I was not here in 2014 - so it is my first look to these amazing cats, each with its own personalitiy! I laughed about the rabbit pretending to be a cat and I admire that Pink Cat proud of its GREEN spectacles AND the jewellery with the heart! The look of Scowl not qualified for spectacles is stunning!
What a pity for all pink cats that this offer has now expired!
Haha, such a funny post!
love Rike

Hello Sheila,
I've been here more than once - perhaps you have noticed. But I didn't leave a comment because I couldn't find the right words.
Actually I can't find them now - there is too much in this post I love - but I want to let you know that. I love what you did. I always love
your cats - which isn't new for you :) Today the same as I did when I saw them the first time.

But I want to add that your little blue house under the stars is adorable. I can't say why (did I tell that I can't find the right words?)
I'm not sure if I would like to live there - but that wasn't the question, was it?

And I love the idea of the "free green spectacles for pink cats" and the way you made this picture
including the way the other cat is watching….

This are all the words I could find for this wonderful post - thousends of word worth to have been said couldn't be found
(is that an English sentence?)

Ciao Beate

PS. Happy new year for you and L.

A very belated 'Happy New Year', Sheila. Sorry that I am SO late.
I love your collage, and I'm so glad you re-posted your post from 2014, otherwise I might not have got to meet these wonderful creatures. Your pink cat with it's green glasses really made me smile. Thank you! Jx
