We love Christmas at Orange Esmeralda's house.

We always decorate a real tree.

Little blue lights shine at the window - but Douglas wants you to know that he is NOT a Christmas ornament, he is only posing here for a quick blog picture.

Some hand-made mats come out for Christmas, among others -
a long mat,

patchworked squares

and a crocheted mat.

We have an old-fashioned Christmas
with knitting (me) (it's going to be a loose pull-on jumper)

with jigsaws (Mr. E)

and lots of reading, making art and walking outdoors.

Of course the teddies wear special clothes and decoration for Christmas time.

Hugo and Alicia are a devoted couple.
(Just so you know - "Hugo" and "Alicia" are not their real names, that's their Internet aliases).

Do you like Alicia's tiara?  It was made by Mr. Esmeralda.

Happy Christmas!!!
from all at Orange Esmeralda's house.

Oh, I love your pretty festive tree! Hello there Dougie. Who wouldn't want to play on a string of pretty lights?! I really like the fabrics and colors in your long quilted mat. As well as the cool graphic design of it. And the patchwork squares quilt is so simple, yet so eye appealing. Love the color thread quilting! It has inspired me. Very pretty knitting...especially that intricate design for your jumper. And such a pretty red. I want to come help Mr. E with the puzzle...I love jigsaw puzzles. Well don't "Hugo and Alicia" look festive! Is her tiara beading? Yes, it's quite showy Miss Alicia. Nicely done Mr. E. Merry Christmas to my Orange Esmeralda friends!

A very Merry Christmas to you and your Mr and Dougie and Alicia (sweet tiara) and Hugo too (nice rack!)
Your tree is lovely and fresh with the bonus of a nice scent too I'm sure.
Lights are a favorite thing about this time of year along with all the trimmings that help make it twinkle.
Sending lots of fa la laaaas
and HoHoHo your way

All lovely Christmassy stuff. I wonder what Hugo and Alicia eat on Christmas day? Honey? Salmon? Greens? People? It would be nice to know before shaking hands, paws, hooves with them -----

wonderful Christmas post... i love the tree (it is the first year we had None, because that always goes along with moving furniture and the kid considered it more important to have a Couch Zone;)). of course i´m over the mmon with that Long mat - bravo!! the nine patch also pleases me with ist gorgeous Colors. the red knitted Jumper also Looks fab! and of course my compliments to mr esmeralda, designer of a wonderful Tiara!!
i hope you don´t have weather capers as all over the world.
wishing you a nice turn of the year and a fantastic 2016!! xox

am i still sleeping or what. found 3 typos: kid = Kids, mmon, well: moon, you could guess that, and the "autocorrection" always makes its to ist (as ist is a german word). if you find more you can Keep them;)
