GOING HOME

In my previous post the little girl was walking through the forest, watched over by her friends.

She has now come home to her pretty cottage and garden.

I made this in the same way as the previous piece.

I painted each individual image with watercolours and watercolour pens and used photo-editing to compose the complete picture.

I'm linking to
"Art Journal Journey", theme "Deep in the Forest"
and to
"Paint Party Friday" where we share the artwork we have made during the week and visit the wonderful art made by other artists.

What a wonderful house and garden your little girl has. She should be happy to come home, but she doesn't look very happy. What's her problem? Can I help? :)

Wow another whimiscal beauty by you. Your artwork is so much fun and so unique. I love the colours as well. The art in the previous post is also stunning. Have a great day, Shirleyx ps.. distress inks are meant for grunge distressed looks (I think), they started with muddy colours and eventually added brighter ones that I gravitate to. :)

Sheila, this is lovely, especially the way you have managed to bring the colours and composition to life. I love too the decorations on the tree trunks and the other creatures watching over the little girl x

Hi Sheila,
I haven't been into the OE site for some time but I must make a note in my diary to look in at least once a week. You have a marvellous creative instinct, imagination --- call it what you will. I think you are one of those fortunate people who has retained the sense of wonder of a child that most of us lose when we grow up. I like to think that I've got a wee bit of that --- but I wish I had as much as you!

I love how your picture tells the story without the need for words. The dark forest in contrast with her colorful home and garden emphasize the fact of what a haven it is for her. Blessings!

You know how to mix - for me this is one work, can't see which part is hand made and what digitally done. Great work!
