Conny at "Mix it Monthly" is asking for "Crazy Dresses" this month.
These are the colours we are invited to use
and I'm fairly sure I've used all of them somewhere.
I'm also linking to "Paint Party Friday".
In a previous post, "Imaginary friends" I used a technique given in a video lesson by Conny to produce a starting off canvas which I then used to "find" a painting.
I did a similar thing this time but started off with this.
It's a part of the A3 sheet I use underneath whatever I'm painting.
I use it to try out colours, test stamping and so on.
I scanned it in, changed the colours with Photo-editing and printed the result on to an A4 sheet of cartridge paper.
The idea was to use this to "find " crazy dresses.
If you have a close look you might find some interesting shapes and creatures, and a few possible crazy dresses.
Several days later, using gouache, acrylics, ink pencils, pens and some stamping this eventually appeared.
AN INTER-GALACTIC COCKTAIL PARTY
What do you think?
Is it crazy enough?
