SUMMER OF COLOUR - THE UPHILL STREET

I couldn't resist joining in the "Summer of Color" challenge, it looks like such fun.

The colours we have to use in week one are Aqua Blue and Yellow with a dash of hot pink.

And here is The Uphill Street!

I made this extraordinarily quickly, for me, by drawing the design with a fine black pen and using Photoshop to fill in the colours.  I made the pink a slighter clearer pink.

I'm also linking to the wonderful monthly challenge, "Art Journal Journey", theme "Houses".

Gosh, I did enjoy making this.

this is very bold and fun! So good to see a SOC entry that is almost abstract in its strong shapes.

Really Sheila, your imagination is mindboggling! Who thinks up a title like "The Uphill Street"? Only you, indeed! Making your art all the more delightful. I don't know how you live in the real world. It seems so hohum compared.

This is a really fun piece. A great use of the colour theme.

Love your little houses, Sheila! It's almost as if the three aqua ones are peeping at their hot pink neighbour! The long road uphill leads the eye to them beautifully. The kaleidoscope design at the beginning uses the COS well too. Hugs!

Very unique creation and I do think one needs sunglasses to walk along this street!

I can tell, you had fun. Fab creation. Very good use of the colours!
I think I am going to join these challenges too. I keep telling myself to reduce my actions, but I can´t. Maybe I can consolidate some actions. :-)

So fresh colours and somehow I think this of swimwear. You cast a street from it and I just wonder how people and animals look like, who live there.

Love the movement in this! Such a great idea when you don't have much time to colour it in in Photoshop. Have to remember that .... ;-)

Lovely graphic qualities to this, and it makes me think of a 1930s poster with the way you have used the bright colours and the minimal feel of the striking design. I love it.
