BIRD MIGRATION - ALTERNATIVE WAYS

Mr. Bird
"It's getting a bit chilly, let's go and find somewhere warmer".

Mrs. Bird
"But we've only just got here, and the children love it."

Mr. Bird
"All my mates are flying off next week and they're taking their children with them, so ours will have no-one to play with".

Mrs. Bird
"Alright dear, I'm sure you know best".

Our Mr. and Mrs. Bird and family will manage the journey with no problems, but other birds may need a little help on their way.

The Air Bird Marshall is on hand to guide the birds along.  He has to wear a warm jumper as it can get cold hanging about waiting for stragglers.  He may look a little fierce but he has a heart of gold and is very efficient.

Some just can't make it on their own.

For others who are not up to flying so far, there are two-wing personal aircraft for hire.

or no-wing single-bird modern transporters with every comfort included.

And here is the Land Bird Marshall, waiting at the staging post at Rocky Outcrop, ready to help any bird who needs to land for a short stop.  Notice his very fine waistcoat and matching hat.

It's a busy air corridor over Rocky Outcrop.

:):):):) Thank you for the smiles, Sheila! I adore your bird travelers. The birds in my collage would like to be included on the trip...is that OK with you?

And you really should consider writing and illustrating a children's book, if you haven't already.

Hi Sheila, I love your birds and their stories!! We have some funny birds here. They like to fly following the street - up and down in waves. It's impossibele to overtake them because they are 2 oder 3 or more. So I follow them slowly until they take another way. After seeing and reading your bird story I can imagine what they are thinking.
Thank you very much for translation and explaining the bird speech.
:) Beate

I always did wonder how the birds made it there and back! It's good to know that bird migration has gone all modern like everything else.

Your drawings are so creative and fun! I agree with the others ~ you should write & illustrate a children's book :)

Gorgeous, Sheila! An airborne blog! I love the Land Marshall Bird, with his two antennae with dark green hearts, they must be for ground to air communication! Like the multi-bird transporter too! A very cheery scene.
