LET'S CELEBRATE

This month I have the very pleasant task of choosing the theme for the art challenge site "Art Journal Journey".
I've chosen "Let's Celebrate".

I hope you will think of many reasons to celebrate this month including both the small, special everyday things and the larger events.

Here I celebrate a bird flying across a clear blue sky, the last colourful leaves dropping from the sculptural winter trees and a very happy bunny running and jumping just because he likes it.

I found this little (2½ inches, 6½ cms.) bright pink coloured pencil last week, so I'm also going to celebrate little pencils and all coloured pencils.

Happy December and Let's Celebrate!

  1. Oh, I do like your bird and bunny, they surely are ready for celebration, both so joyful!

Finland is celebrating its 100-years of independence next week, the sixth of December, huge festivities on way!

  3. I'm ready to celebrate right along with you, Sheila. What an honor for both of us this month, and I'm celebrating the little things so many of us fail to appreciate, like a little pink pencil that helped create all this loveliness that only you could draw. What a fabulous AJJ beginning this month.

  9. Your colors alone are enough to celebrate. And the pretty birdie. And my favorite trees. And the sweet bunny. And the lettering font too. Your paintings are so expressive I feel I’m flying with birdie and jumping with bunny and walking through that most delightful grove of trees. Little pink pencil could not be cuter! I’m celebrating the very few minutes here and there that I get to play in the land of creativity.

  12. What a beautiful theme and entry for december! I like it!
The flying bird in a hurry to the left side, the happy bunny in a hurry to the right side, he is busy because he wants to meet Santa Claus, does he?
Your colors are always bright and bring sunshine in our souls!
To find such a cute pink colored pencil is really a big luck! More luck than to find a coin!
    Happy Sunday! Rike x
