GRUNGE LADY FINDS THE PINK FLOWERS

Gill is hosting Susi's art challenge at "Art Journal Journey" this month with the fascinating theme "Elegance and Grunge" - but we can choose only one of these.
I choose "Grunge".

The Grunge lady visited my garden and found bright pink flowers.

Grunge lady doesn't like bright pink.

I made a pen and ink painting of Grunge lady's home.

Grunge is fun!

  2. Personally I think she underestimates her elegance and beauty in her soft pink fluffiness. Her pen and inkling home is also elegant and gorgeous! I just adore this pen and ink style of yours!! It WOWS me!! Would make a wonderful greeting card with some like Welcome to my castle on the front of it!! Love this post so much!!

  4. I am still sitting here in my pink pyjama ( inherted it from my mum, never had chosen pink for a pyjama)) and have a big smile on my face! What a beautiful grunge Lady... her hair is fascinating and mine looks very similar to hers right now. Here home is just wonderful. Super ink and watercolor piece as well!
I am happy to see your unique art at Art Journal Journey !

  5. Love this Sheila...ha ha I'm thinking that's me first thing in the morning - muzzy head, hair all over the place - I have longish hair (argh what a mess!)
Oh no I hope Grunge lady didn't frighten the pink flowers and make them green - perhaps they are 'Chameleon' flowers and can change colours themselves.
Love her home - is that a moat around it?- I sometimes think it would be lovely to live somewhere with a moat and drawbridge! :)

  7. Your shadowlike grunge lady is very mystical.
I like her and I love the palace which could be
as castle as well that you have drawn her.
Both are very different from what you did before
I think and I love that!

  9. Your grunge lady is such fun, I love that she doesn't like pink - sounds like me altough I'd prefer pink flowers to green ... lol! She lives in a splendid house, it looks like a castle and your ink drawing works wonderfully for the grunge theme too :-) . Wishing you a lovely week! J :-)

  13. I should have known better than to expect standard grunge! Only you and your unique imagination could take grunge to a whole new level. Your grunge lady is marvelous. But of course she can waltz along and change the color of flowers with a wave of her grungy hand. I adore your super pen and ink drawing of her home! My very favorite watercolors have the finely drawn black lines. It gives even the grungiest scene a hint of daintiness and softens the otherwise harsh appearance of grunge. Grunge lady is quite a lucky lady to reside within your great imagination.

  18. You painted an interesting picture, it looks a bit like Japanese art. Very beautiful! I had to laugh when you took out the flashy pink to make it grungy!
The nice grungy ladys home would be the right castle for me - I would like to live there!

  29. This grunge lady comes out of her beautiful castle (fantastic pen and ink drawing!) to change the pink flowers into green flowers ... and now you have only green flowers in your garden! Or have you changed the grunge lady's mind in the meantime?
