A PICNIC INDOORS

My dear friend Annie has chosen this week's theme "Picnic" for the challenge site "Sunday Postcard Art".

I'm also linking to
"Moo-Mania" where the theme is "Anything Goes"
and to
"Art Journal Journey" where the theme, chosen by Yvonne is "In my Garden there is".

I am not a great fan of outdoor picnics and if I have to have one I would be happiest to have it inside, especially if the rain is battering down.

So if your friends are dropping in and the sky is darkening then why not have your picnic indoors, in the caravan for the grown-ups and in the garden tower for the children.

Doesn't every garden have a garden tower?

I hope you noticed one of the flowers has pink bows in her hair, she's wearing them especially for the Picnic.

  1. Thats wonderful, Sheila! I like the whole scenery and the caravan and... Yes, I noticed the lovely pink bows but I must say the the little blue being hiding at the bottom behind a wonderflower is as beautiful even without. Is it possible that the flowers on the caravan are chatting a lot?

  2. So so adorable!!Love the little caravan so much! I once went camping in one about that size....nothing near as precious or pretty as yours though! It was boring old off white! A very happy little scenario you have created!! So much fun to have a picnic your way...no ants or bugs!!

  3. LoL...what cute characters! An indoor picnic! An original thought to me, but quite a nice one. There definitely won't be any ants invading the fun. Boy what I wouldn't have given to have garden tower! The fun I'm imagining I would have had! Love the flowers growing on top of the caravan...where else would Sheila flower grows for goodness sake. A delightful picnic. Thanks so much for supporting me at SPA. When I come over, let's have a patio picnic at the edge of your gorgeous yard, shall we?

  4. I'm with you Sheila. Let's have an indoor party where there are no bugs and no excessive heat or downpours. And of course, I would love to have a garden tower. What fun we would have climbing it when the children are gone. Your caravan looks like it will hold all us partiers, and I am especially fond of how you decorated the entire area with the bunting. I LOVE your imagination and fun characters that accompany it.

  9. Oh, there's a picnic place I'd like to be!!

I agree with you. Outdoor picnics are sometimes and often a pain. My back hates sitting on grass, better to eat picnic treats on the couch :D

  22. I'm a little late...a dauhgter-visit during the weekend
You have painted again such a nice scene, and I find some new small figures here, that I have not previously seen before! The easter bunny (?) with pink ears are wonderful, but the blue hedgehog in the middle looks so funny with only one eye! Great!
