THE GARDEN FROM SPRING TO AUTUMN

Hello everyone.
I've had a lovely holiday in Devon.
Now I'm back in Blogland and very happy to be here with you again.

A little orange flower from a painting,

a journal page,

a small piece from a collage,

part of a large background painting,

and a little blue flower drawn on to a magazine text page, cut out and pasted on to a water-coloured background,

all combined to make a painting of my flower garden from Spring to Autumn -
the first small flower of the year pushing up through the earth and the stakes ready for the climbing plants,
the flowers spreading and multiplying
and finally the colours merging and flopping all over the flower beds.

Here it is in another colourway.

  5. This is a gorgeous journal entry. You used so many disparate items and brought them all together beautifully. I was completely impressed, but originally confused (nothing new for me, though) when I questioned where you were going with all those pieces you were creating. In the end, it was simply ADORABLE!

  7. it´s interesting to see the various little things and then the composition you made of them. that is a really Special Talent you have, i would not imagine "the whole" you can create from them. it seems to me like abracadabra! the single things are so different, but they come together so very well!
glad you had a beautiful vacation time, i already missed you:)

Your have created again the most beautiful art. It's amazing how you get the page to live and look so wonderful. Both spring and autumn pages are fabulous. However, now I chose the spring my favorit.
    Have a happy day xx

  10. Such a lovely garden you've been enjoying!...and working hard on. I love what happens to your texty flowers during your processing. Very cool looking. And love too the word bits from your journal page. That final bit of floral explosion is delightful. From organized planting to collage of color. Devine!

  18. Greetings Sheila! Another lovely patchwork of themes all to do with the garden and its floral inhabitants! With two very different colour ways - the first says to me spring, with new greens, and violets and more pastel shades; while the second suggests rampant high summer! Can't decide which I prefer, I love them both xx
