YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE BEAUTIFUL TO BE AN ANGEL CAT

This month "Art Journal Journey has the theme "Things with Wings"  and "Mix it Monthly" has the theme "Angels/Saints" and I had no doubt as to what I wanted to make for my first entry.

I drew pretty little flowers

and trees

and a pretty little angel cat whose sanctimonious stare was seriously scary, and no, you don't want to see it, it's gone.

Then my Muse had a much better idea.

You don't have to be beautiful to be an Angel Cat.

I've never seen an angel-cat before, but I imagine, that my striped cat (he died some years ago) must look now as this angel! Ulrike

  12. Ahh...your sweet angel cat reminded me of my Sparky Cat and I've been on the most lovely trip down memory lane. I loved that cat. She had the most unique personality. Your heavenly sky is like a dream. A very sweet art piece. Now my curiosity must butt in and know where the pretty flower and tree have gone??? And with what/how did you paint their tiny features? Teach me art please...thank you.

and this is my Paula in heaven for sure... she died many years ago but she did exactly look like this one here when she wanted to have some piece and quiet and I wanted to play with her.
Thank you so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey with this wonderful angel -cat!
I had the idea to paint my Ridgebacks as angels for Mix it Monthly... but I think this will be a bit to diffucult for me..maybe I do it - you inspired me a lot here!

love each piece, the first two are fun in their simplicity
i don't think i have drawn a kitty since i was a little girl when i entered a funny pencil sketch into the faire and won a ribbon.

  20. Love the flying cat. He looks a bit apprehensive. I am a worried you did not provide him with a parachute. Cruelty to animals and all that. Again a very clever image.

  23. Haha Sheila, you crack me up with your posts everytime: "whose sanctimonious stare was seriously scary" ;) You are too funny and what to say, the ringed angel cat looks a bit like a bee, but who says bee´s arn´t beautiful, hihi! Love all the glimmery light what surrounds her and her pinkyelectro tail! I sware she can correct her direction while flying and get the impulsion from....oh maybe my imagination has going crazy a bit, hope you don´t mind, hihi ♥ Conny Mix It Monthly

  24. Fabulous post ... it makes me smile! I love your astoundingly angel cat with the bright blue eyes and the pink tail! She has a little depressed face ... what´s troubling her? Perhaps she is lonely.
    So beautiful picture!

  25. Ah, I wondered when Sheila's cats would resurface! Angel Cat is a lovely addition to Sheila's whimsical cats, although with that rather grumpy expression, Angle Cat needs a cuddle or a tickle to cheer her up! The little flower at the start of the post was beautiful as well, but I suppose that you would not see it from high in the sky flying with Angel Cat. X

  39. I think your angel cat really has the heart of a cat, since the look is so cat like. I think he is thinking that he hasn't decided his 9 lives were up and he can't believe he has become an angel. Great piece.
