FLOWER POWER

Ignoring the calls for attention from my own garden flowers, I couldn't resist making another artwork for "Flower Power", the theme this month at "Art Journal Journey".
Don't worry, my own flowers have been well fed and watered.

The flower picture was made with oil pastels and textile dyes.
I made a frame, using photo-editing, with the colours in the flower painting then merged the frame and picture together.

I think this technique works quite well.

  3. A photo made with pastels and dyes. It's so lovely with the focus on the flowers and the background landscaping blurred so as not to confuse which is the star attraction. I like your new flower power!

  4. Great job Sheila!
A real feast for the eyes!

(Even if the mix of techniques works together,I suppose the frame wasn't useful, is it?)
