TWO BIRDS

This is the third "Soul Food" lesson I've tried.
I liked the techniques, the way the lesson was demonstrated and the end artwork.

I didn't use all the techniques, but I liked the basics involving cut-out text and a way of patterning the birds.

I'm putting this in as a final fling into March's "Art Journal Journey"  where the theme is "A Fantasy Scene".
I'm also joining in the fortnightly challenge "Moo-Mania" where the theme is "Togetherness/Twosomes".  The challenge now allows art other than Moos.

  3. I'm sure they are talking about eastern and they don't have the same opinion. But I think they will manage it very well. They are so cute your little birds!! And I wonder how you did this great background which looks like folded paper.

  4. These are sweet wonderful texty birds with dots and stripes. I think they're squaring off for who's body is better. LOL They would both win! The background too is awesome. The floor looks like colorful frosted glass. The birds should just each take a pretty flower and take a bow!

  29. This is such an amusing Fantasy theme, the two little birds look so surprised to see the vase of flowers in their forest, which looks like a silver birch forest.
The Soul Food course seems to lead you in interesting directions, well worth following.

  32. Ooh Sheila! Your little pink birds look so uncomfortable with each other, perhaps they have only just met, they don't have the ease of old friends! I love their colourful appearances, and the cheerful pink tulips in the wonky pink vase! Your use of colour is glorious!
