"GOOD PLANT"

Mr. Xps (pronounced "Crisp") has several pets but his favourite is his plant.

This was made especially for the "Mix it Monthly" challenge, whose theme this month is "We love our Pets".

It was painted with fluid acrylics, watercolours and various metallic and other pens.

The font is "Pea Sheila", a very nicely named font.
Thanks to my friend Johanna who first used it here and my friend Linda who kindly let me know where to find the font here.

  1. This is lovely, your Mr Xps is a really elegant fowl, just like the owl in the owl and the pussy cat was. Love the cactus too, I have one similar, but of course, not so nice! Hugs, Valerie

  3. I love your green skinned Mr Xps, with his stripey socks (why not symmetric?), and his bird plummeting down from the sky. The plants are awesome, so spikey and loopy. Brilliant!

  6. Always the showy one gets the attention and no wonder that showy plant has become the favorite of Mr. Xps. LOVE that name! How you arrive at the pronunciation though is quite baffling to me...but I was never any good at that sort of learning. But I love the creativity in the name as much as in your piece of art.

I am sure your Mr. Xps and his wonderful cactus-animal would be the winner of Mix-It-Monthly if there was something to win.

  25. I love Mr Crisp's individual dress style - and his choice of pets. Sad for him that he can't cuddle his cactus to show it that he loves it - in face it's quite a hazardous adventure even to pat it. Still it takes all sorts to make a surreal world!
I always enjoy your different take on a topic, and this one makes me smile.
