A CHANGE

For the next few months, Orange Esmeralda is going to be experimenting with different techniques and subjects as she and I have joined the online class Soul Food and we are going to have the most amazing fun there.

The first class I joined was Zorana's and here is what I made.
It measures 4 ½ x 4 inches.

Oh, too much fun!
And I learned two new techniques including using a new (to me) type of paint in a different way.

I also kept in mind that the "Take a Word" challenge this week is asking for art including "Two of anything".

So here are two new techniques, two flowers and two leaves.

Some of you will know that last summer Beate invited Orange Esmeralda's cats to a garden party in Germany.  Beate has now finished the book of the event and you can read all about it on her blog here .

  2. Well now, this is going to be fun to watch. I'm glad you mention the size...I would be imagining a large wall painting...(not that you couldn't hang this on the wall). I am always amazed at how much detail you put into your little works of art! This is a cutie beauty!

  12. You have packed so much into 4x4". I like the effect you have achieved with the sepia coloured background - perhaps that is achieved with the new paint in a different way. Interesting and effective. I also like the curved shapes in the 'frame', so good with an informal painting like this. Altogether a lovely piece.
Thank you also for your very nice comment on Fliss, etc, I always appreciate your thoughtful comments.

  23. Oh your work is really nice. I like your new Technic.

    I love vases and flowers.

I am in the mood for art like this. Winter here is way too long. So this is a brighten up for those who dislike the snow.
