TWO PEOPLE

Some people have come to visit for a week.
So I have no time for art.

They said "What's the theme at "Take a word" this week?".
I said "It's "Two of anything" but I've no time to make art this week".
They said "But there are two of us".

So here they are.
Two of them.

Lavinia is on the left, Ethel is on the right.
They live with my sister, who, funnily enough, is also visiting this week.

Please note Lavinia's very fine hand-knitted frock coat and antique brooch, and Ethel's Fair-isle hand-knitted jumper and Angry Bird brooch.  (They asked me to say this).

Regular eagle-eyed readers of Orange Esmeralda might remember seeing them before here.  They were helping my sister to make a crocheted blanket, which all three have finished now.

Before they came, I made two Christmas mats.

And Mr. Esmeralda has made two Christmas decorations for the tree.

So between us, we all managed to contribute to a post on the theme "Two of something" for "Take a word".

  32. Wow Sheila,
every posting of yours is art in itself. *love*
Thanks for sharing all those wonderful two-of-a-kinds!
Ethel and Lavinia are so cute. Would you please ask them if the want to spend their next holiday in Germany? And tell your sister, they don't need a nanny over here, I will take good care of them. (...and never let them go anymore..... *oops* *ssssshhhhh* *shut up Alex* *it's a secret*)

Do you know that you forgot another two-of-a-kind? I'm missing a photo of your sister and you. ;-)

    Sending hugs your way,
    Alex

  34. Definitely two of everything, and all so interesting to look at and admire, including the Lavinia and Ethel in their stylish outfits. The crochet blanket is beautiful, and I know from the ones my mum used to make how cuddly and comforting they can be.
I do like your place mats - they make my fingers itch to do a little patchwork, so long since I have. Perhaps with my new little machine I shall be able to - my Pfaff got too heavy for me to lift and move.
Dev said he really admires your husbands skill and artistry with the beaded hangings - he's done many crafts but beading is such a skilled craft he never tried that.
