ANOTHER SINGLE FLOWER

The monthly challenge at "Soartful" is asking for "A Single Flower with a Minimalist Design".

Mr. E. grew some  Black-eyed Susans  last year and while they are very nice yellow flowers I decided to give this one (from my own photograph) a make-over -
a little colour change,
a bit of a water-colour effect,
and....

The theme at "Art Journal Journey" is "Less is More".

This artwork took far LESS time than any others I have made for this blog, and I think it has MORE impact than some which took a considerable time, so I think it fits the theme.

I hope you like it.

  3. That looks great!! And it is funny that the name of the flower means the same in Germany... the leafs look more than interesting! And the blossom is orange in nature - right?

  8. Oh, WOW! This piece I REALLY LOVE! The leaves have a rustic metal look to them...love that! And the flower has a softer look but high impact color. The contrast between the two is awesome! Interesting light and shadow too. Well done Sheila!
