DOUGLAS GOES TO THE FESTIVAL

The Edinburgh streets are full of colour, life, exotic voices and beautiful people wearing wonderful clothes.

It's the Edinburgh Festival!

There's the Fringe with over 40,000 performances, the Book Festival with over 700 performances, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, many Art exhibitions, the Craft Fair and the official Edinburgh International Festival itself.

Douglas gives up his gardening duties during the Festival to provide a taxi service (private hires only).  He enjoys watching the passers-by while Mr. E. and I go to the shows.

And this is me, at the Festival, my head spinning with excitement, surrounded by explosions of colour, the pavement dancing beneath my feet.

Douglas's top Festival tip - Always sit at the back, then if the show is boring you can catch up on your sleep.

If you've enjoyed this post, do leave a comment.  I always try to reply either by visiting your blog or by email.  Douglas will be especially pleased if you leave a comment.
