JELLYFISH AND HAPPINESS

The "Take a Word" challenge asks this week, "What makes people happy?".

How about a lovely walk on a beach?

With jelly fish and crabs?

One of the "Eight splendid truths of happiness" at "The Happiness Project" blog is

"One of the best ways to make yourself happy is to make other people happy;
 One of the best ways to make other people happy is to be happy yourself."

So, with the altruistic intent of making you happier,
I went for a walk on a beach, painted pictures and made patterns, each of which invariably makes me happy.

Painted the rocks (oil pastels and Procion dyes).

Painted the sandy beach (watercolours, pens and a photo-edit shake).

Made a collage (watercolours, pens, magazine pages and a photo-edit shake).

And painted a nice little shape which was attached to a Funiculina quadrangularis (Collins Pocket guide to the Sea Shore) (oil pastels and Procion dyes).

I liked the colours in the collage and changed the rest of the colours to match, to make this.

Hope you're feeling happier now!

  6. We all know my logical brain cannot keep up with your creative, clever brain. But I definitely enjoy seeing what you see when you look at ordinary everyday stuff. It always makes me smile! Being a lover of collage, I did stuck for a while viewing the collage you created. That really makes me feel happy looking at that.
