BAFFLED, THE MOONS .......

The theme at Take a Word this week is "Moon".
The day after I posted this, the new theme "Landscape within me" at Art Journal Journey was put up, and this painting and poem seemed to be appropriate for this theme too.

Baffled, the moons predict
and try again.
Sadly
light the gold
among coloured fields.

The poem was written by me (10%) and the computer (90%).  Later on this week I will describe how the computer and I made the poem.
The painting was made using oil pastels and Procion dyes and was painted to illustrate the poem.

Do you think the green tower is having a bad hair day?

  1. Hi, Sheila! I do love your sense of humor. Either the tower is having a bad hair day, or maybe is on fire? :)
Beautiful colors in your painting! Hope you're having a nice day.

  2. Yes, I thought the tower was on fire too. I struggle with poetry, so I'm pretty lost in that regard. I opened this for a larger more close up view. Those pastels and dyes react beautifully together. I love how those trees look!

  13. I really like the flowers, the trees and the way the tower stands out...it truly does seem to be on fire. You have achieved a clarity with the colours which is your trademark and makes this stand out as one of your unique creations.

  15. I reckon a troll lives in that tower. When those troll dolls were all the rage in the 70s I had one with orange hair that stick up like that and eventually faded to that colour. I called him Firetroll.

Tell us about the poetry collaboration. It's a bit like William Burroughs/Bryan Gyson's cut up technique.

  16. Nope, I think the tower is simply an individual with no cares of what anyone else thinks. :-) Beautiful piece of art, Sheila!
